Danish designer, Verner Panton, is perhaps best known for the chair that bears his name.
The Panton Chair, a highly recognizable example of single-formed injection molded plastic seating, was hailed a successfully daring design. It ultimately became one of the most famous chair designs of the twentieth century. His vibrant career included numerous unique, funky and futuristic concepts that made use of a variety of materials, especially plastics. His most well-known furniture models, like the chair, are still in production.
Watch how ArchiCAD 16′s MORPH Tool easily recreates the Panton chair piece using simple modeling techniques like Tube Extrusion and Box Stretching, then give the whole model a thorough smoothing to achieve the final result.
