Cadimage Gives Us a Real-Time Cutting Planes Tip

Have you worked with cutting planes yet? Our friends over at the Cadimage blog recently shared a tip about it. That’s one reason why have them on our blog roll for good reason. The blog is a very good resource for ArchiCAD information and they feature some pretty nifty tips, such as the one below:

ArchiCAD 17 Real Time Cutting Planes

ArchiCAD now features easily manipulable 3D Cutting Planes – they can be defined graphically in your views, and then dragged/moved/rotated as you go.image_thumb1Multiple cutting planes can be used at once, so you can click and drag them around easily to define the areas of the model that you want to isolate.image_thumb2They’re great for quickly focussing on certain areas of your building, and because they are so easy to edit, you can quickly cut through your model to get to the are you want – whether it be a certain storey, section or junction.
