Phoenix based Orcutt|Winslow has been featured on our blog before. Their most recent publicized project had their staff doing everything to stretch their capabilities to the limit. It is a project, aptly described by lead architect, Saravanan Balasubramanian, as one that “challenged their staff to the core”.
The firm has been a long-time ArchiCAD user and in their history has relied upon the strength of the software to present, create, design and excel in the industry. O|W works on as many as three hundred projects a year – ranging from senior living, education, health care and hospitality as well as marketing and graphic design solutions for their clients.
Balasubramanian, along with Russ Sanders explain in this video how O|W capitalized on constraints or challenges in the Sahana Pride project – to reach an end result where the very obstacles they faced became advantages and opportunities to highlight capabilities and skills. Whether met with a height restriction, demanding deadlines, phased construction or working in a foreign environment – O|W succeeded – and much of that success can be linked the capabilities they’ve mastered with ArchiCAD.
