During the visualization process – the occasion for quick surface overrides occurs. ARCHICAD 19 has a new palette called Surface Painter which is used to paint surfaces directly in the 3D window.

When you download ARCHICAD 19 and have a chance to work in it, one of the features you’ll find that improves your workflow is the ability to ‘drag-and-drop’ building model surfaces and edit them in 3D. This aspect of the software provides instant, visual feedback as changes are applied to the model.  ARCHICAD 19’s new Surface Painter enables designers to change model surfaces in the 3D window with a single click using a floating palette called Surface Editor

Check out this clip on using the surface painter palette. It takes fewer than three minutes to watch and will give you a good overview of a new feature in ARCHICAD 19.
