Our “Classics Remodeled in ARCHICAD” Series Continues

Stairs n’ Rails inspired classics take the stage for our popular “classics remodeled” series. You know the drill, we look at well-known architecture around the world and model it in ARCHICAD to show the power of new features and the software.

This clip focuses on The Itamaraty Palace, also known as the Palace of the Arches. It serves as the headquarters of the Ministry of External Relations of Brazil. Located in the national capital of Brasília, the building was designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer in 1962.

The massive 220-square-meter main hall on the ground floor is free of columns and features an iconic 2,3 meter-wide spiral staircase without a banister.
