Don’t Miss the BIMx Docs Webinar
Last week, GRAPHISOFT announced the availability of its presentation and BIM project viewer on the App Store. BIMx Docs is the next level of our award-winning app, BIMx, with features architects have been waiting for. Don’t miss the upcoming webinar in which the BIMx Docs app will be fully demonstrated and explained for the first time to the general public. Our North America clients got the first look at the BIM 2013 Conference in San Diego, CA. Register for the webinar on October 29 by clicking here and here for US/Canada.
At the heart of BIMx Docs technology you’ll find the “Hyper-model,” which enables the full integration of 2D and 3D plans. This makes navigation not only more intuitive, but a magnitude smoother and faster than most other construction-related model or documentation viewer mobile apps.
Check out this video on our YouTube channel:
The Hyper-model feature is explained very well by this clip:
We have made the BIM available at the construction site – the integrated project environment is contained on a small mobile device – through hyper links, the viewer can access all information about the model with a touch of the screen. We have combined 3D and 2D information at intelligent markers as you “walk-through” the model. Logic and structure of the project can be retrieved from the BIMx at any point you are viewing the model.
The basic BIMx app — which won the Construction Computing Mobile Product of the Year award in 2012 — is still available free of charge, keeping the exploration of the 3D model accessible for anyone. The BIMx Docs function pack is available inside the free BIMx app with new in-app purchase options: $4.99 for one project; $49.99 for an unlimited number of projects. The price is especially competitive, considering that the average cost of one set of document printouts usually exceeds the price of the BIMx Docs Unlimited app. For more information about GRAPHISOFT BIMx and BIMx Docs, please visit the BIMx Website.
