Design in Action pairs DC Public and Charter High School students with top DC architecture firms for one week during Spring break. Started in 2012 by Janet Bloomberg, AIA of KUBE Architecture, the program has grown to include over 26 architecture firms each year. GRAPHISOFT North America partnered with the Washington Architectural Foundation, Catholic University of America’s Architecture School (CUA), and Common Good City Farm (CGCF) to support Design in Action: Build (DIA: Build).
The GRAPHISOFT North America Student Design Competition is in full swing. Entrants are already hard at work designing ways to put Philadelphia’s rich history in front of the millions of tourists who visit it annually. A temporary mobile visitor center made from a shipping container can be moved to one of many venues that welcome event attendees.
