Long-time ARCHICAD user, Platt Architecture was recently featured on DIY Network’s show, “Barnwood Builders”.

On the show, the Barnwood Builders travel to a high-end mountain retreat to build a timber frame kitchen that will be the home’s centerpiece in Brevard, NC. Also on the show, the hosts visit some of the architect’s other spectacular log homes.
If you missed the June 25th episode of Barnwood Builders on DIY Network – don’t worry! You can see Mark Bowe of Antique Cabins and Barns as he highlights salvaged materials for a barn raising along with other past Platt Architecture projects again on Sunday July 2nd at 11PM Eastern and again on July 18th at 6PM Eastern. You can also find the episode on Amazon and on iTunes.

The project they’re focusing on was designed by Platt Architecture and is being constructed by Platt Management Group. The featured timbers were reclaimed from an historical barn in Canada and transported to the mountains of western North Carolina. During the episode, the team showcases how the storied materials were integrated into a new design.

Congratulations to Platt Architecture!
