This interactive, hands-on workshop introduces basic Building Information Modeling (BIM) and BIM collaboration concepts. At the conclusion of the session, attendees will understand modeling essentials and the approaches needed for the successful adoption of a streamlined BIM workflow.
Attendees will learn:
- Basic 3D modeling techniques
- The value of adopting a streamlined workflow
- Different modes of collaboration across the AEC disciplines and how to create document deliverables
- How to utilize the BIM Server which allows instant group collaboration within a single project
Computers will be provided at the workshop location.

Zoltan Toth, GRAPHISOFT BIM Consultant
Zoltan Toth, Intl. Assoc. AIA brings nine years of experience at various architectural offices both in the US and overseas. These roles have helped him understand the importance of BIM and the different ways it is rapidly transforming the AEC industry. Holding an M.Sc. in architecture and experience with both small and large scale projects, Zoltan is helping North American architectural offices with their BIM adoption and implementation. He is also deeply interested in sustainable solutions and an advocate for the widespread use of energy analysis tools early on in the design process.
