About your Presenters:
Catherine Cabezas, Assoc AIA, LEED AP BD+C, GRAPHISOFT Regional Sales Manager
Catherine Cabezas is a multilingual architectural designer with nine years of professional experience serving prestigious clients in the science and technology market, as well as leading design production teams for cultural and restaurant projects. She has a keen understanding of all phases of the building project lifecycle making her an expert at ensuring efficient workflow strategies.
Catherine excels at coordinating multidisciplinary teams comprised of architects, engineers, and specialized consultants, whether local or across multiple office locations. Using the BIM experience she gained in her tenure at renowned international and domestic design firms, Catherine thrives on overcoming complex technical requirements to help firms adopt and implement BIM as their everyday project delivery tool.
As a Regional Sales Manager at GRAPHISOFT, Catherine focuses on innovative approaches to problem-solving leveraging ARCHICAD as a primary tool in a client’s pursuit of design excellence. She is also actively involved in her local architectural community and AIA chapters to help increase the overall understanding and adoption of BIM. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in architecture from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
Marcus Monroe, GRAPHISOFT BIM Consultant
Husband, father, designer, educator, BIM enthusiast, and social impact strategist who believes in the ability of architecture to change the world. Marcus joins GRAPHISOFT as the BIM Consultant for the DC territory. Most recently, Marcus was a project manager with the National Institutes for Health where he specialized in design and construction services. In addition, he is a former faculty member of the Montgomery College Architecture Program where he taught 3D presentation and BIM coursework.
Since 2012, he has been actively involved in Open Architecture DC and is the Director of the Resilience by Design Program. Prior to that, he was a designer at Quinn Evans Architects, a full-service architectural firm with offices in Washington, D.C. Professional work includes institutional, commercial interiors, ambassadorial residences, and historic preservation projects. Marcus attended the University of Florida where he earned a Bachelor of Design and Master of Architecture with a concentration in historic preservation.
Vincent Boutaud, Assoc. AIA, GRAPHISOFT BIM Consultant / ARCHICAD Trainer / Technical Support Engineer
Vincent Boutaud Graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture in 2007 and with a Master’s in Architecture in 2008. He started using and learning ARCHICAD in 2004 with version 8.1 and has been an active alpha and beta tester since 2014. He maintains strong commitments to the architectural community by participating in numerous events and organizations, and has been the Co-Chair of the Boston ARCHICAD User Group since 2013.
Before joining GRAPHISOFT, Vincent worked at numerous architectural companies gaining 10+ years of experience in roles including CAD / Systems Manager, Staff Architect, and BIM Specialist / Visualization Coordinator. His expertise is quite diverse and he has worked on numerous projects including hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, senior living facilities, independent living communities, corporate offices, middle schools, and elementary schools. He enjoys finding new technologies and leveraging new methods to help improve architectural process efficiency.
Ransom Ratcliff, Senior GRAPHISOFT BIM Consultant
Ransom Ratcliff has been a Senior BIM Consultant at GRAPHISOFT since 2013. Between 2007 and 2012, he was a BIM Manager at HDR in Atlanta Georgia and Bethesda Maryland. As a global resource for HDR, his technical expertise and 17 years of Virtual Building experience were leveraged as an internal consultant on issues ranging from initial contract negotiation to cross-office collaboration and BIM workflow development. Between 50 and 70 percent of Ransom’s responsibilities were billable to BIM projects that range from 100,000 to 1 million square feet.
He is an Autodesk Certified Professional on Revit Architecture and a GRAPHISOFT Certified ARCHICAD BIM Manager who has supported ARCHICAD users since 1997.
