BIM: More than a Buzzword Presentation – Earn .1 CEU
GRAPHISOFT is sponsoring the CEU tradeday sessions during the IDS show as well as making a presentation entitled BIM: More than a Buzzword. Led by GRAPHISOFT North America Product Manager, Yanni Alexakis, the session will introduce Building Information Modeling or BIM and help attendees understand that it is more than a catch phrase, and more than a piece of code. BIM goes beyond a new iteration of CAD. It’s a new way of working that makes it easier for interior designers to do their job and to coordinate with other professionals involved in a building project, too.
In this presentation, you’ll see BIM used in a real-world interior design application. You’ll understand the benefits of BIM first-hand—and learn how BIM is positioning today’s leading interior designers to be more competitive, productive and profitable. You’ll discover that BIM is an affordable, effective and efficient tool for communicating ideas, analyzing and evaluating space, and helping to forecast the performance of a finished building.
At the end of the session, attendees will earn .1 CEU and know how to:
- Create custom objects using the Morph Tool
- Easily share files on mobile devices, with clients
- Create photorealistic renderings directly from the model
- Navigate with in the model in 3D view to quickly evaluate design decisions.
