First Fridays for Education – January
First Fridays for Education
Happy New Year! As we continue our “First Fridays for Education” series – we take a break from sharing a video tutorial. The start of a new year is a time to gain inspiration and motivation to tackle new skills, gain experience in using the software and keep pushing the limits of design and productivity with ARCHICAD.
Starting brand new to a software can be exciting! The first step is our to check out our tutorial materials on ARCHICAD YouTube Channel, which are plentiful and easy to follow. Below are some additional tutorial resources to help you get started in using ARCHICAD.
GRAPHISOFT has long partnered with The CAD Academy, so it should come as no surprise that we are highlighting an instructional video from its president, Stephanie Kvamme.
Applecore Designs shares videos regularly on their YouTube channel. Topics range in length and complexity.
This channel by Dona Ranandefera also provides some excellent resources for the novice user on becoming familiar with the software and using it well.

The 2015 AIAS FORUM took place in San Francisco from December 29, 2015-January 2, 2016. Tom Simmons, President, ARCHVISTA, addressed the Council of Presidents meeting, speaking to building information modeling (BIM) industry trends, and the free resources available for students to learn ARCHICAD while in school, Later that day, during the Expo, Tom fielded many questions from students that are ready to start learning ARCHICAD today! We are looking forward to an exciting year as more students and schools are realizing the power of ARCHICAD and the opportunities available after graduation at ARCHICAD firms across the country.
