GRAPHISOFT proudly hosts an annual ARCHICAD competition for the Environmental and Spatial Technology (EAST) Conference. EAST® is an educational non-profit organization which brings together K-12 students from more than 200 schools across the country to create service projects accomplished through teamwork and cutting-edge technology. This year, EAST students will use ARCHICAD while working in teams of three (or less) to design a building or facility that will enhance the community for the greater good.
Good Luck EAST students!
We look forward to another annual competition, offered in association with The CAD Academy®, the National LEED Dream Home Contest. Participants must comply with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) building requirements while designing their project in ARCHICAD. The CAD Academy uses ARCHICAD as part of the program curriculum and contest because it is so intuitive for the students, allowing them to produce a walk-through, create a rendering or drop in a jpeg file easily.
The CAD Academy®, a secondary and post-secondary pre-engineering and pre-architectural programs teach middle and high school students in North America how to explore technology-oriented paths through real-world projects, ultimately deepening their understanding of science, engineering, architecture, and mathematics. This year’s winners will be announced on YouTube, we’ll be sure to share the winning projects when they do!
