See ARCHICAD 19 at Dwell on Design 2015
Stop by Booth #2101 to See the New ARCHICAD 19!
GRAPHISOFT is exhibiting in booth #2101 at the 2015 Dwell on Design (DOD) show taking place at the LA Convention Center in Los Angeles next week. The show starts on Friday, May 29th and lasts through to Sunday, May 31st. During the show, the GRAPHISOFT team will demonstrate the performance enhancements and speed found in ARCHICAD 19. The software features predictive background processing, an industry-first to BIM. Architects, designers and home builders will benefit from its lightning-fast response times.
We are proud to announce that GRAPHISOFT is also hosting two speaker presentations during the DOD convention.
ARCHICAD user, Architect and self-proclaimed CAD Nerd, Mark Christopher is a principal who has experienced office conversion from hand drafting to CAD. When it came time for his own firm to leave hand drafting behind, he transitioned them directly to BIM – namely ARCHICAD – in 1988. On Friday, May 29th at 3:30 in Room 304C, Mark’s presentation “Successful BIM Implementation Starts with the Principle” will share experienced gained during his 25 years in the industry. Mark will focus on discussing how he relies on the most advanced visualization capabilities of BIM to communicate design intent to clients on custom homes. Learn how modeling every detail lets the owners see the entire design, and make informed choices well in advance of construction.
On Saturday, May 30th at noon on Stage C, David Hertz, FAIA of The Studio of Environmental Architecture will present “The Power of Living Renderings: Freedom from 3D and Paper Plans”. Hertz has used innovative and unusual materials to create beautiful and environmentally conscious designs – from using the wing of a 747 as the roof of a house to splitting a residential home in half with a reflecting pond flowing down the middle to the front of the home forming a pool below the front door. This presentation gives you a wonderful chance to learn more about David Hertz’s unique conceptual process and his firms approach to conceptualizing and presenting their innovative work through the medium of ARCHICAD.
If you won’t be able to be in Los Angeles for this year’s Dwell on Design – you can still keep up to date on what’s going on from the show floor, home tours, and other design events. Dwell Magazine will have their editors and contributors reporting throughout the weekend, sharing their latest product finds, salient quotes, Q&As, slideshows, snapshots, videos, and more.
