Next month the 8th Annual Symposium of the Custom Residential Architects Network (CRAN), a Knowledge Community of The American Institute of Architects, will take place at the Depot Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The four-day symposium runs from September 19-23 and is open to all AIA and non-AIA members. At the event, custom residential architects from across the country come together to learn, share, and discuss relevant topics in the field of residential architecture.
Our own Jared Banks, AIA will be at the symposium, both as a member of the CRAN Advisory Group and as a speaker. His talk, “Elevating the Art of BIM for Residential Design & Practice” covers what he calls “the mystical intersection of BIM and Art” as well as maximizing the utility of our instruments of service in BIM for Residential Design and Practice. In addition to delving into ways he has found to push BIM to the limits and explore artistic possibilities of BIM and the built environment, he promises to explain why he appears to be taking a photo of a blank wall. It is not as weird as it looks, in fact, you’ll be so glad you found out!
