When I started using ARCHICAD many years ago, what struck me was that it allowed me to create a simulated 3 dimensional building while other software was basically electronic 2D drafting that forced me to learn cryptic commands just to draw some lines. Buildings are 3 dimensional structures and are experienced as such, why shouldn’t the software do the same? ARCHICAD gives me tools to visualize my designs and communicate those ideas to clients and capabilities to coordinate the structural and mechanical designs with my consultants. As an architect, I find great value in the consistent, logical workflow from preliminary design through construction drawings and building management after construction is complete. These gains are reflected in the services I provide to my clients.
